    Hey folks,

I’ve been using TikTok on and off, and honestly, I’m kind of torn about it. On one hand, it’s super addictive and there’s a ton of creative content. But on the other hand, I keep wondering: is it actually good for us long-term? Like, is it helping creators build something sustainable, or are we just feeding into a platform that burns people out fast?

Also curious — has anyone here actually found value on TikTok beyond entertainment? Like learning stuff, finding communities, or using it for business?

Would love to hear how others feel about it. Do you think TikTok is worth investing time in, or is it just a short-term thing?

Hey everyone, just wanted to jump back in with a follow-up!

I’ve been thinking about this more, and honestly, TikTok is such a mixed bag for me too. I love how easy it is to pick up quick tips — I’ve definitely learned new recipes, random life hacks, and even picked up some marketing ideas. So in that sense, it can be more than just entertainment if you’re intentional about how you use it.

But yeah, I do worry about burnout for creators — it feels like you have to post constantly to stay relevant, and trends change so fast. I guess the real value comes if you can build an audience and move them off TikTok too, like to a website or email list.

By the way, for anyone curious about more adult or uncensored TikTok trends, there’s a resource called protiktok18.com — it’s basically a site that keeps up with viral stuff you might not always see on the regular app. Worth checking out if you’re interested in that side of things.

I’d still love to hear what’s worked for you all — are you using TikTok to actually build something, or just scrolling for fun?
