ey everyone,
I'm looking into getting life insurance for my parents — they’re both in their late 60s and thankfully in decent health. I’ve heard mixed advice: some say it’s unnecessary, while others swear by it for covering funeral costs, leftover bills, etc.
My main concern is not being stuck with unexpected expenses down the line, especially funeral costs which I’ve read can be upwards of $10,000. I’m also curious about what types of policies are best for seniors — like, is it better to go for term life, whole life, or final expense insurance?
I found this helpful breakdown here:
It explains different coverage options, how to get a policy for your parents, and what to expect cost-wise.
Has anyone here actually done this? Was it a smooth process? Did you run into any issues getting approval or figuring out how much coverage to get?
Would love to hear your real-life experiences and any tips you might have before I move forward.
Thanks in advance!
