In Odoo, handling multiple languages on your website is actually pretty straightforward once you enable the right settings.

    1. Activate Multi-Language Support
Go to Website → Configuration → Settings and enable the “Multi-Language” option. Then install or load the language packs you need from Settings → Translations → Load a Translation.

    2. Translate Website Content
After enabling languages, you can switch between them using the top language selector in edit mode. Odoo’s inline translation tool lets you translate menus, product descriptions, blog posts, and any other visible text.

    3. Use Translation Templates for Products
For eCommerce, make sure product names, attributes, and descriptions have translations. This will also help with SEO in each target language.

    4. Keep Everything in Sync
When you update content in one language, remember to review other language versions so nothing is outdated.

I’ve seen this work really well alongside other Odoo modules—like when pairing a multilingual website with the Odoo Linkly POS system for retail businesses. It keeps your online and in-store customer experience consistent, even across different languages and regions.

Once you set it up, you’ll find Odoo handles multilingual workflows surprisingly well without heavy customization.
